J is proud to help support Astoria’s LightBox Photographic Gallery, a unique non representative gallery dedicated to the photographic arts.

J’s career in motion picture communications and photography spans over 40 years. He first picked up a camera at the age of 12, leading to a career garnering numerous international awards and recognition. His extensive motion picture, video, and photographic experience has produced a polymath photographer/print-maker who is at home with almost any legacy or digital process. As a result there is no conventional way to define his space as a print maker. Nor is there a way to categorise his work; his body of work ranges from macro to unique portraiture to sweeping landscapes.

He owns the J Brunner Fine Art gallery in Ilwaco, Washington. a working gallery featuring his work from the Pacific Northwest. Being on the peninsula has created a new space for J and allowed his body of work to grow from the red rocks of his native Utah to the beauty of the PNW he now calls home. He loves the storms and the brooding weather and finds affectivity in the sea and dense foliage of the northwest forests.

J can be found teaching and mentoring his craft when is not producing his own works. He is a respected print maker and enjoys helping other artists achieve superlative results. His passion for his work is contagious and he loves creating works that become part of people's lives every day it hangs in a space.

“This is what I do and I’m not going to stop, because I can’t stop. That’s just how it is. You are invited, and your patronage is very appreciated.”
